Just a questionnaire forwarded to me by my good friend Gail Tashlyn, a fellow mother of ten.
1.) How old were you when you had your oldest child?
Twenty-six.
2.) How old were you when you had your youngest child?
Thirty-eight.
3.) Which pregnancy was the least unpleasant?
Ummm... probably Sarah Grace (my eighth), although all of my pregnancies have been pretty awful.
4.) Which pregnancy was the most unpleasant?
All of them were pretty terrible. All included Richter-scale-worthy morning sickness through all three trimesters, migraines, constant hunger and tiredness, off-the-charts crankiness, and full body aches. But I guess the worst pregnancy was when I had the twins (Christine and Allie, my third and fourth), because according to my husband I was the most irritable during that one.
5.) Which birth was the easiest?
With the exception of Emma-Kathryn (my tenth), I had very easy births lasting no more than five hours and performed at home with no painkillers.
6.) Which birth was the hardest?
Emma-Kathryn got her chin stuck on my pelvic bone and had to be C-sectioned.
7.) How many of your children have red hair?
Three. Jamie Claire (my first), Jakob (my fifth), and Emma-Kathryn (my tenth)
8.) How many of your children have black hair?
None.
9.) How many of your children have blond hair?
Two. Sarah Grace (my eighth) and Joshua (my ninth)
10.) How many of your children have brown hair?
Five. Cumorah (my second), Christine (my third), Allie (my fourth), Daniel, (my sixth), and Elizabeth (my seventh).
